On Saturday 4th September Wight-RATs will host our annual Wight-RAT run for various visiting RAT branches . Each visiting branch will be met by a Wight-RAT member and lead to our initial venue at the Roman Villa in Brading assembling between 10:15 and 11.15 am. Its new £3 million Exhibition & Visitor Centre offers modern facilities, a well-stocked Cafeteria and provides an excellent panoramic outlook on the Island.
We will ride out en-mass on our first run (routemaps provided via your Pack-Leaders) to experience the best roads the Island has to offer (no jokes now thankyou!) meeting up again at our lunch venue at the Steamer Inn on Shanklin Esplanade. This fine restaurant offers a varied menu to suite all tastes flanked on either side by the Waterfront Inn and the Aqua Hotel, both of which can also be used as alternatives for dining. You can sit out on the large balcony whilst dining overlooking your lovely motorcycles parked on the esplanade in front of the (hopefully) sun and sea.
Following lunch there will be an afternoon run terminating at our final venue (TBA) before catching the ferry home (estimated at approx. 5pm).

There are discounted WightLink ferries for this event which will leave from either Portsmouth and travel to Fishbourne or Lymington to Yarmouth. It is recommended that bookings are made in advance and this can be done by contacting the WightLink reservation office on 08713 761000. You should mention at time of booking that you are attending the 'WIGHT RAT RALLY' or 'WIGHT RAT RUN'.
A booking may be made in advance or upon arrival at Portsmouth or Lymington ports.
You will receive a discounted fare for motorcycle rider and where applicable pillion.

In the past some packs have arranged to stay the weekend, especially as your ticket is inclusive of this.
